About Sourcegraph

Sourcegraph solves a problem GitHub search can't: finding code across thousands of repositories simultaneously. Large engineering organizations with hundreds of repos use it to answer questions like 'where is this function called?' and 'how do we use this API across the org?'. Code navigation provides cross-repository jump-to-definition. Sourcegraph has refocused its AI on the enterprise — Cody Free and Cody Pro were discontinued in July 2025, and Cody is now an enterprise-only product (around $59/user/month on an annual contract). Individual developers are pointed to Amp, Sourcegraph's newer agentic coding tool with usage-based pricing. Best for: large engineering organizations with 50+ repositories that need cross-codebase code intelligence and enterprise AI.
