InVision
FreemiumThe prototyping platform that made clickable prototypes standard practice
๐ฑ๏ธPrototypingAbout InVision
InVision pioneered clickable prototyping in the early 2010s and became the standard way to share interactive mockups with stakeholders. Designers upload screens from Sketch or Photoshop, add hotspots, and share a live prototype link. InVision Studio added native interaction design. The platform also includes Freehand (collaborative whiteboard), Boards (design inspiration), and a Design System Manager. However, InVision has struggled as Figma's native prototyping rendered standalone prototyping tools less necessary. InVision announced layoffs and reduced development. Existing teams may still use it, but new projects should start with Figma's built-in prototyping. Best for: teams with existing InVision workflows who haven't fully migrated to Figma.
What's Great
